What is an Enrolled Agent (EA)?

An Enrolled Agent is a tax professional licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury with unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Enrolled Agents specialize in taxation and IRS representation.

How is an Enrolled Agent different from a CPA?

While both Enrolled Agents and CPAs can represent taxpayers before the IRS, Enrolled Agents specialize exclusively in federal taxation and tax resolution matters. EAs are federally licensed and can represent taxpayers in all 50 states.

Can you help if I owe money to the IRS?

Yes. I help taxpayers explore options such as installment agreements, penalty abatement, Currently Not Collectible status, and Offer in Compromise when appropriate.

What should I do if I receive an IRS notice?

Do not ignore it. Many IRS notices have deadlines. Contact me as soon as possible so I can review the notice and explain your options.

Can you represent me before the IRS?

Yes. As an Enrolled Agent, I can communicate directly with the IRS on your behalf once you authorize me using Form 2848, Power of Attorney.

What is a penalty abatement?

Penalty abatement is a request to the IRS to remove or reduce penalties due to reasonable cause or other qualifying circumstances. Not all taxpayers qualify, but I can review your situation and determine your eligibility.

What is an Offer in Compromise?

An Offer in Compromise is a program that may allow qualifying taxpayers to settle their tax debt for less than the full amount owed. Eligibility depends on income, expenses, assets, and ability to pay.

Can the IRS garnish my wages or levy my bank account?

Yes. The IRS has collection powers that may include wage garnishments and bank levies. Early intervention often provides more options and may help prevent enforced collection actions

Do you help small business owners?

Yes. I assist small business owners with tax preparation, tax planning, payroll tax issues, IRS notices, bookkeeping concerns, and tax resolution matters.

How much do your services cost?

Fees vary depending on the complexity of your case. During your consultation, I will explain the services needed and provide a clear fee quote before any work begins.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your tax issue and determine how I may be able to help.

Can you help taxpayers outside Florida?

Yes. As an Enrolled Agent, I am federally licensed and can represent taxpayers in all 50 states.

What documents should I bring to my consultation?

Please provide any IRS notices, tax returns, financial information, and other documents related to your tax issue. The more information available, the better I can evaluate your case.

How long does it take to resolve an IRS problem?

Every case is different. Some matters can be resolved in a few weeks, while more complex tax resolution cases may take several months. I will keep you informed throughout the process.
